Composite facade with photoprint – A 600m2 large photoprint on a composite facade! The lightweight and low maintenance Raficlad® facade is transparent, and has an photoprint inlay! The challenge for Holland Composites was to make sure the large picture was manufactured and mounted in the right sequence. K3H Architecten designed the new look for this contemporary store.
The idea of the K3H architect and client was to upgrade a disused and dilapidated building to a contemporary store. With the light – in translucent aspect now focused on weight – Raficlad® panels, placement on the existing inner box construction was possible and much of the existing construction could be reused. And nevertheless a totally new look could be obtained.
In the panels, almost building-high prints of faces have been processed to give the building a friendly appearance, which is welcome to the shoppers.
The Raficlad facade surface covers 600 m².
