Location: Steenwijk, Netherlands
Year: 2010
Surface: 350 m2
Material: Transparent composite
Specifics: Translucent sandwich panels to allow daylight inside the composite pump house.
A striking composite pump house has been placed near Steenwijk, the Netherlands. The entire composite building is composed of seventeen different sandwich elements, some of which are transparent.
These semi-transparent composite panels allow entry of daylight. All composite sandwich elements are glued constructively without having to make further use of rafters, bulkheads or other reinforcement constructions. The interior is therefore a clean, open space in order to be good at the technology.
The composite pump building resembles a tiny house and was manufactured in two parts in our composite factory in Lelystad and assembled on site. This saved installation time and money.
Thanks to the properties of composite, this building is corrosion-free and therefore low-maintenance.
Development, production, transport and assembly by Holland Composites.
